March flowers bring April showers
Lunch was finished. Mrs. Hector and I decided to catch a little of the afternoon sun that was warming the back patio. The younger kids gathered 'round (Ben is in Illinois, Thomas is in the hospital) and it wasn't long before someone thought it would be a good idea to go for a stroll in the back pasture. Rain was in the forecast, so we knew the pleasant setting wouldn't last. Laura Becky and Sara did what all little girls do; they picked wildflowers. The boys jumped from rock to rock, examined ants and kicked at rotting logs, as boys will do. Without warning, the cold front blew in, clouds accumulated as the temperature dropped. We headed back to the house on what seemed like a different day from the one we started out on.
We stopped for this picture at the back gate before going in. Within an hour, the rain began to fall. It looks like conditions will be good for the lighting of the bonfire.
be safe,

It was a beautiful walk with wonderful company. Both going out and coming back. I spent more time with the girls and their flowers than with the boys. The wildflowers seem to be at their peak. Beautiful.

How fun!
I just got discharged. Thanks for the mention and the prayers dad.
Awwwwwww....the girls are so cute! Such bright smiles, the flowers are simply lovely, and the wooden gate in the background adds the final topping touch. Did y'all make flower chains? *laughs* A girl question... :)
There is nothing like finding new wildflowers when winter has finally left for vacation! :) Our tulips have surfaced and we're hoping for some blooms soon.
I'm glad to hear you were set free, Thomas...if you get sick in May or June I'm really going to wonder if you're allergic to us. :)
The girls are so adorable!!! *wishes wildflowers were blooming here* Looks like y'all had a lovely time! :)
Beautiful picture!! :-) Sounds lovely! :-)
Thomas, were you sick?
