The snow has returned

Well Ben, you missed it again. Once again our yard has been transformed into a winter wonderland. Thomas, Anthony and I took a few shots as we enjoyed the drought busting play stuff.

Tabletop snowmen are easy on the back.

Sara rides again!!

Smiling has always come easy to Becky.

Nobody said this was easy.

This peculiar image is our only evidence that Thomas was there.

This is a rare and wondrous sight; I feel privileged to have been there to witness it and capture it on film as proof that it actually happened.

Go Jonathan, GO!!

Pretty wife, pretty view.

Fort Anthony will be defended at any cost.

Holding a camera is no defense from a ruthless horde of snowball packing roughnecks.

Direct hit!!!

If three damsels attack their father...

...then he must repel the attack with shock and awe...

This is my weapon of choice. Mechanical advantage can be a wonderful thing. We went without power for 30 hours during this last storm; the horse and sheep are grumbling about their pasture being covered up. The weather report calls for more snow tonight, stay tuned...
be safe,
Hec @ 19

Looks like lots of fun! I love snow (at least most of the time)! :-) Good job 'repelling' the attack! :-D
Exactly how much snow did you get that would make you be without power?

Don't you like snow, Thomas?

So glad to see the snow at your place!! Pretty, pretty, pretty!!

Okay, Jean, you & me, saucer race! One time and one time only!

Unfortunately, the oaks in our area are not prepared for heavy snow - 10" this time - and break off, across roadways and power lines. Therefore, no electricity. We had fun pioneering, and are thankful for spring water heated to wash dishes. Cooking and eating by candlelight was interesting as well. However, we rejoiced when the power returned.

Yes, I have been known to get on a sled once in awhile!! DH, you made up for that comment in your later one. LY.

Blessings, JB/Mrs.H

Yeah!!! Mrs. H. got her snow! And she even went sledding! It looks like y'all had a lovely time together. Even Thomas was there this time! Poor Ben...it seems like he always misses the snow there. :)

Ah, yes...power outages in the winter can be rather exciting...sometimes. :) We lost power during our ice storm which made the house rather cold. Thankfully my dad had purchased a generator this past summer when we lost power after a huge rain storm.

So, the boys broke out some war paint? And did y'all build a fort? Oh!!! That makes a snowball fight even more exciting!

Hmmm...these pictures almost make me wish we had more snow...almost. :)

Oh, beautiful snow! And to think we're only an hour away. So glad y'all had fun.

Oh yeah, and I've tagged you. :-)

*sobbing* I missed it, again!!!!! The odds of this occurring are continuing to become more and more bizarre. Perhaps there might be a career as a human "anti-snow" machine?

Great pictures, and everything looks so clean. Almost a shame to go out and mess it up! Still, what is the point of snow, if you can't use it? (The snow fort is a perfect example!)

Oh, and as an unbiased outside source, I can confirm that is Thomas; the odd mouth compression is a trademark....

Hoist up the John B's sails....

Ben, how exactly do you manage to miss all of the snow? Where are you when your family is having so much fun???
