It stayed!!

He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes. Psalm 147:16

Second day snow is always better than first day snow. It holds together better which makes for better sledding. We took advantage of that fact today. Nick has a slight fever, so he stayed inside. Ben is at work and Thomas is studying for a big test this Friday. That left the Six to enjoy the snow with Dad. (Jean can't put fun and snow into the same sentence.) Here we see Becky savoring a just completed run. Laura is being escorted down the hill by Ginger while Sara enjoys the spectacle.

Sara is not distressed by her sled's failure to stay "rubber side down". This could explain why we do not let her drive yet.
Ready...aim...
FIRE!!! Don't feel sorry for Matthew, he dishes it out as well as anyone.
The snow will most likely be thin and icy by morning, it was fun while it lasted.
be safe,
Hec @ 19

DH,

I beg to differ. I find it extremely "fun" to watch the snow falling "outside", while I am toasty warm inside!

It brings tears to my eyes, the joy I see in those six beautiful faces!!

Love you dear one, JB

PS Miss M - wish you were all here too!!

lol...Mrs. Hector, I must say, I feel the same way you do! 'Twas lovely to watch as it fell this morning, but then it accumulated I had to drive in it today... When there is enough snow and "David's Hill" is opened up, only then do I find "fun" and "snow" a good combination. But the fun only lasts for an hour or two...if he had a ski lift for us, then I might stay out longer. :)

Sara and I just might get along in the sledding department. The first year we went, I ended up going down backwards several times. :) I hope Nick gets to feeling better soon and that the snow sticks a little longer for him! Beautiful pictures!

Looks lovely! We've gotten lots of snow so far this December - but haven't made it out to go sledding yet! Hmmm... maybe we need to go do that! :)

Yep, on the warm side of a window sipping a cup of tea and watching the fun on the outside would be right up my alley, too! Looks like the kids had tons of fun!!

Sigh, and I miss it yet again....

Please, please, please put a bit in cup, and preserve it in the freezer. Maybe when I get home I will sit on a sled and hold the cup, just to pretend!

Just as cold down here, and not nearly as fun!

Looks like fun! :-) It's snowing pretty hard here right now, and we're supposed to get between 8 and 14 inches, so maybe we'll have a share in the 'snow fun'!

And Ben, where are you that you missed out on the snow?

Love the pictures in the snow. Not to make anybody jealous but up in Spokane, WA in about a 48 hour period, we had over 2 feet of snow fall. I am glad to see that California does get snow. Hope you had fun playing in all of it.

Merry Christmas!!!
