Snow returns to Mountain Ranch

We get snow only once or twice a year, and it rarely stays more than a day. When it does arrive, it is a welcome change of pace, as is evidenced by Sara's face as she glides down the driveway.
Capture the flag, anyone?
I guess we won't be sailing today. Long Johns and sail cloth don't mix.
All photos were taken by Matthew Hector. He will one day become the family photographer. Yes, you are correct; Ben and Thomas are conspicuously absent from the blogging world.
be safe,

Since our snow usually comes in January and February, this is an added treat. Perhaps we will have a "white Christmas" which hasn't happened in the previous 9 years we've been here.

Nice pics Matthew. You are definitely following in your Dad's footsteps.

Ahhhh...if only we had snow once or twice a year!! :) Alas! We had freezing rain last night and were therefore overjoyed with the "fun" slippery ride to a Christmas tea today. :) But, the Lord is good and saw fit to get us there and home safely. A white Christmas would be most welcome, though. :)

Beautiful pictures, Matthew! Sara looks simply ecstatic with the change in weather, and your lovely boat looks oh-so-lonely out there in the cold...

Tsk, tsk...what could possibly be keeping Ben and Thomas from Blogdom? Delightful post, as usual, Mr. Hector!

Tis most distressingly painful not to be present for the first snow of the season! Especially since it appears that there is enough snow for a bit of sledding!!!!!

Alas, some of us must build careers, and even though we would wish to spend all of our time playing, the work does make both the time home with my family, and the rest I (sometimes) get there, all that more treasured.

Please someone, eat a handful snow for me, and pause for a moment to feel that wonderful texture!
